When I started reading Becca's Dance I found myself super excited to keep reading and couldn't wait to find out the rest of the story. However, as I kept reading I found myself being less excited about reading it and just reading to finish it. The storyline starts off strong and is a great second chance romance but it started to lose me around the half way point. I do believe this book has great potential and just needs a little polishing as to making the storyline stay strong and to correct some grammar issues.Product details

Can True Love be found once its been lost? That is what is found out in this book. Becca and Clay had a whirlwind romance one summer when they were in their 20's, then tragedy struck and Becca fled. She ran from 'that summer' into a loveless marriage for 20 years. After her husband asks for a divorce, she goes back to Lester Lake to find herself. Will Clay still be there? Will he even still want her? This is a great story about life, hardships, friendships and love. During the story, you will be taken back to 'that summer' with flashbacks, but they flow through the story so well its not a distraction.
I was given this book by the author as a gift. What a wonderful read!!! I haven't read a romance book in a long while and I'm glad I received this one. Becca was a wonderful character and I loved how she regained her self worth and freedom of being a trophy wife and found her true self again in a place that meant so much to her when she was younger. All Becca's old friends were still living there and were very supportive of her. The chemistry between Clay and Becca was evident every time they encountered each other. I was thrilled also when her kids Haley and Jon, Jr. came to support her and fell in love with the town as much as she did. The story made you believe true love prevails over all odds!!! Thanks again Jordyn Meryl for such an enjoyable read!!! Keep up the good writing!!!
Becca's Dance
This book is one of the best books I have read in a very long time. I usually don’t like the going back and forth in time but this author did it so the story flowed with it. I found myself loving these characters in the story as well. I have to say to keep the tissues handy in one spot of the book. I think everyone one in their lifetime has been through heartbreak and wanted the fairy tale ending. For me I went through a lot and now trying to get back my fairy tale ending.
What happens when you go back to the place you considered home and have to face your passed demons plus the man you truly loved and walked away from over 20 years ago? Becca young Hamilton has 2 grown children in college and a husband who doesn’t love her but she also wasn’t in love with him either. So when he left her divorce papers it was time to go back to the place she considered her home so when her aunt Tilley passed away and left everything to her and now it was time to start her life over.
Clay Lester was the boy every woman wanted to date. When Becca shows up for summer at her aunt Tilley’s home it’s clay that couldn’t stay away from Becca. They have a summer romance that turns out to be more than some people only find once in life time, but when something horrible happens it’s Becca who runs away and breaks clay’s heart. Now 20 years later he sees the women who broke his heart and is the only women he has ever loved with all his heart. He ends up going on with his life and has 6 boys and is divorced .He tries to fight off the feelings he had pushed deep down inside. Can these two find love again and start a new life together?
I enjoyed this book, as the back and forth with the telling of the story and the flashbacks to what happened twenty years before helps to let you know the whole story.
Becca left Lester's Lake after loosing one of her best friends, she didn't let anyone know why she left and she left Clay, her boyfriend without telling him anything. She married just to marry and has two children. Now, after being told her husband wants a divorce, she's back in Lester Lake. Her aunt has since passed and she's finding out some interesting things. One of which is that Clay is the father to six boys, but he's also divorced. And the sparks are still there. Maybe she made a mistake all those years ago.
This is a love story, about lost love, old love and new love. If you like details and HEA, this is a good one. Read it.
Becca Young-Hamilton is in the midst of divorce and heads back to her hometown in Lester County. Her Aunt Tilley has passed and left Becca the house and other inheritances. When Becca arrives back to the hometown she fled after a devastating accident, all her youthful memories come rushing back along with the feelings of her first love. The handsome cowboy Clay Lester was the love of Becca's life, but her decision to run away and marry left Clay shattered. Will these two be able to mend the bond and rekindle those old flames?
If you are a Nicholas Sparks fan you will enjoy this story. It has the sweet slow building and burning romance aspect along with very likable characters. Each character added something to the story. There was the forgiving and wise Becca, loveable and charming cowboy Clay, the wicked ex's, the adult children who are charming and others. My favorite and memorable scene was when Becca went out with the girls. I laughed and enjoyed their playful nature.
Jordyn Meryl did a wonderful job capturing the deep emotions of the lovers in this story. I felt that the beginning was a little slow, but keep on because once Jordyn Meryl gets her rhythm things start to take off. I did notice a lot of editing mistakes and this did throw the flow off, but the surrounding story allowed me to overlook those. If you are the type of reader who gets irritated by those errors it is understandable, but take a step back and analyze the story as a whole before knocking down this story.
Those looking for a sweet romance with the aspect of rekindling old flames will enjoy this story.
