With progressivism and revisionism undermining our federal system of government and with bureaucrat fiats taking the place of law, we must not only better understand our constitution but ensure that our children and grandchildren have even rudimentary knowledge since so many schools fail to teach the constitution and some even regard it with disdain.This handbook provides an opportunity to gain a working knowledge of the constitution with text based on original source material. Eight chapters cover topics from constitutional history to enumerated powers to amendments. Each chapter includes questions and research assignments giving teachers and parents a framework on which to structure a complete unit of constitutional study. A glossary is included as a helpful reference. With direct instruction, this book could be used for eighth grade American History and is well-suited for high school study but is also useful for adult instruction and as a reference for all. Private schools and home schools should regard this handbook as an excellent study guide.
Although my grandchildren are not home schooled, I plan to spend time this summer engaging them in a study of the constitution using this handbook and to relate the study to the current election season, the constitutional division of enumerated powers, and the looming Supreme Court nominations. I hope that others who base hope for our country's future on an educated and informed electorate will do the same.

5 stars does not do this book justice. It contains information so important that without learning it there is little hope of sustaining our freedoms. The main question this book addresses is whether or not the framers writings and explanations regarding powers conferred to the federal government by the constitution are authoritative. Is it lawful for current representatives and interpreters to disregard the framers explanations and meaning of the constitution? The idea advocated by many that the constitution is a living breathing document dies hard. In reality, this demonstrably erroneous perspective has killed and suffocated Our republic. The fact is many if not most of the problems the U.S. faces today economically, socially and culturally are directly attributable to public ignorance of the constitution and Our servants exploiting it to usurp and interpret its powers in such a way that destroys liberty.
This well documented enlightening book is a wake up call. It is a slam dunk case made by the framers that indeed Fed and state officials have and currently do not operate within their limited constitutional jurisdiction. Ironically, Our public servants swear an oath to obey the Constitution, yet not one upholds it. The Declaration of Independence requires Our public servants obey the constitution not the federal government.
Bobs book provides the framers remedial nullifying measures in circumstances when Our "servants" get out of bounds. In my view, this is the key chapter of the book. The second sentence in this review therefore could be restated to say that the most important information to learn is in the chapter on nullification.
I urge, beg and plead that everyone get a copy of this book. Our freedoms, families and futures depend on learning well the knowledge contained in it. Please get informed, unite, teach and take action to strike down our out of control tyrannical government before its to late. This book is by far the best out there to serve this purpose. But having eyes opened is not enough, we must unite and do.
A great read
Probably the greatest wide-ranging book on multiple Constitutional principles I've ever read. For everyone interested in the Constitution, you'll definitely learn something. A definite buy!

One of the two most eye opening books I have read. To me, this unapologetic originalist mentorship of the Constitution was as riveting as any thriller I could have ever read. I could not put it down, no matter how disgusted it caused me to become over our current situation. Each chapter has assignments at the end to help drive home the point. I did not do the assignments, but I will be buying the physical copy of the book so that I can be a better student next time!
